Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Site Notice and New Neighbour are trading names of TJ Peanut Limited ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit our websites (sitenotice.co.uk and newneighbour.co.uk) and use our lead-generation and mailing services (the "Service").

Please read this policy carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By using our website, you acknowledge the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

We may collect and process the following types of data about you:

Account registration data — information you provide when creating an account, including your name, business name, trade, email address, phone number and account credentials.
Location and postcode data — postcodes entered into our area-check tools or account settings to determine your local lead area.
Billing and transactional data — payment processing is handled securely by our payment partner, Stripe. We do not store or process your full card details on our servers; all payment data is collected and tokenised securely by Stripe.
Usage data — details of your visits to our site, including traffic data and the resources or leads you access.
Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, time-zone setting, operating system and platform.

2. How we source and use public lead data

Our platform is built on public records.

Data sourcing — we gather UK planning applications, Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) and local-authority register data from publicly accessible government and council records.
Information formats — this data includes the address of properties undergoing planning or transactions, estimated project values and descriptions of work.
Data processing — we process this information under the lawful basis of legitimate interests, to convert complex public records into structured business leads for local trades.

3. Mail list services

If you use our Mail list feature to send correspondence to a property, we process the property address solely to print and route the letter through our print-and-post fulfilment partners. Letters are addressed generically (to "The Occupier") using public-record address files — never bought lists of named individuals.

4. Lawful bases for processing

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract — to provide platform access, manage your account and execute mailings you request.
Legitimate interests — to identify relevant public planning and property records and compile them into plain-English listings useful to your business.
Consent — where you explicitly choose to receive newsletters or market insights from us.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only with trusted third parties strictly necessary to operate the Service:

Payment partner (Stripe) — to securely process your subscription billing.
Service providers — print-and-post fulfilment houses, cloud hosting, database and customer-support infrastructure.
Legal obligation — if required to disclose data by law enforcement or regulatory bodies.

6. Data security and retention

We implement rigorous security protocols to prevent unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure of your account records, including two-step login on every account. Your financial transaction information is protected by Stripe using industry-standard encryption. We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to operate your account or meet financial reporting obligations; inactive account data is securely purged or anonymised after a reasonable period.

7. Your data protection rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights including:

Access — the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Rectification — the right to ask us to correct inaccurate details.
Erasure — the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
Objection — the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@sitenotice.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
